They Call it Citizen Journalism ! Under a thin garb of providing a forum to people’s voice, they are out to do irreparable harm to the interests of a great nation that is INDIA. With no or scant feeling of responsibility, a citizen journalism network has published a strange story on this new year day. It argues that if the lone surviving terrorist who took to intense firing on 26 November, 2008 in Mumbai, Mohammed Ajmal Amir, alias Kasab proved what a threat failed nations like Pakistan could pose to the entire civilised world then Ram Kumar, Ram Chandar and Parkash proved that India itself was indulging in same acts of terror. These three with India connections were reportedly picked-up by Pakistani police after they executed a well planned blast in a polling station in Swat region killing more than 41 people’s lives on Christmas day last year.
This blistering lie had been previously countered by none other than the Pakistan based terrorist outfit Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan’s top criminal Betullah Mehsud, claiming that the blast was a handiwork of his outlawed set of big time criminals. Even an idle reading of an AP report would have driven the truth home that Pakistan was simply trying to pleat its ruffled trouser in the face of Indian diplomatic onslaught after the barbaric events in Mumbai.
Why did the website carry a report despite knowing full well that it was not true? The question must be asked and the website must be made to respond in a responsible manner.
