I would too have dubbed the news story as absurd but for my current reading of a couple of books about China compel me to agree completely with the newspaper and the BMC authorities. Adoption of no-hold-barred policy by China in the mad sheer materialistic race, leaving dialectical materialism far behind, has led to such a sorry pass.

Are we talking of the same very China which doesn’t seem to give it a miss when it comes to showing the world their one-upmanship with countries like US n UK? If that is the case, I am very sorry to say that this isn’t good news for the country, for, it gives a sorry state of affairs prevalent in the country.
